Someone once told me, Every song has an ending, but is that any reason not to enjoy the music?  - Peyton Sawyer

Most people, such as myself do not want to try something because it comes to an end. But that definitely is no way to live.  It is distressing to know that anything that you try can be over with the blink of an eye. Friendships will stray, dreams will remain dreams, but life as we know it continues.  This quote tells me to live every moment to its fullest, so when the end does come, I can say I had no regrets.

Just because things come to a conclusion, does not mean that we cannot attempt it. Throughout our life, we will be put through obstacles. It does not matter whether or not you made it; it depends on how you strive and on how well you pick yourself up afterwards.

"One thing about being on the top of the world… it gives you a long, long way to fall."- Leighton Meester

This quote coincides with the one above because this is one outcome from trying something but eventually getting caught up in the life.

Wealthy people undoubtedly use this as a mantra. Because when you are on top, you think no one can touch you.  In this world, the wealthier you are, the more powerful you are. With all the control and success, many believe they are unstoppable. But when greed, money, lies, and deceit catch up with them, their fall from victory takes no time to destroy them.

Everybody dreams of being great, the unbelievable part is that most people will do anything to get there. Friends will turn into enemies, families will stop talking, but not many care about the consequences their actions required to get them to the place they are today. The tough part about being on top is realizing that you have many people at the bottom waiting for you to fall.

“Be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best night and day to make you everybody else. It means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.”- E.E. Cummings

So, if you do decide to try something, challenge yourself to maintain who you are, because it is so easy to slip and become like others around you. An admirable person stays true to themselves and does not alter who they are to be like what they see. A person that listens to the music and becomes successful will preserve a sense of where they came from and what they stand for. They will also appreciate that every good thing comes to an end and they prepare for that conclusion as the same person they started off as but with a boarder perspective.
To stay yourself

"They say the universe has a great sense of humor. That sometimes having your dreams come true can feel like a nightmare. Because getting what you want always comes with strings attached."-Kristen Bell

Everybody wants something and majority of the time we are willing to do anything to get it. No matter how hard we resist temptation and lust; it always catches up with us.  Our desires can be stronger than our morals. To gain success, many will fight to achieve it. However, when we receive what we have been longing for, it can end with disaster knocking on the door.

What people fought so hard for, can ruin their lives in just one second. When people dwell on dreams, it is the only the thing they can consider.  Nevertheless, once their dream comes true, they can deeply regret what was wanted in the first place. When people always get what they want, they become selfish and continue to only crave more.

Because we live in a flawed world, it is a part of maturity to understand that most of our dreams will not come true but will be filed into the “I wish I chased my dreams” folder.  Sometimes when people go after their dreams, they end up losing someone they love or changing into a completely different person. Though, when some people chase a dream, it becomes more realistic and it ends up great.

The dream you always wanted can become the nightmare you wished you never had. The biggest dreams you had, could become the biggest mistakes you ever longed for. Thankfully, not all dreams have a booby trap to them. Some reap enduring presents. It just depends on whether or not you let the bad experience bring you down.

A quote that I have absolutely been so fond of is “In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on”, said by Robert Frost. Those three words are so meaningful and true.  Some people tend to dwell on certain matters and act as if their life was over. A perfect example of this would be high school girls. Many believe high school is the place to be popular and fit in and just be known.  However, life continues and whether or not you fit in during high school; will not matter when you are 30 and have a job.
In high school, most people are trying to figure out who they are; whether they are the jock, cheerleader, nerd, or just another fish thrown into the big pond. Adjusting into the high school life can be filled with rejection and anguish. Nevertheless, the students will learn that life goes on and high school was just another memory that will be brought up at reunions.
This quote can pertain to most circumstances, whether it is failing a class or getting into an argument with someone. Each situation is hard to handle, but can be overcome. I believe being able to conquer a challenging incident makes you a stronger person every time. When you fail at something, you learn from the mistakes you made and hopefully improve. As much as you do not want to continue; prove to those people that you can take those encounters and come out successful.
Because life is so short, there is no time to stop on the insignificant things.  Continue on and live life to the fullest. If you do not try your hardest, it can only end in grief.  Regrets in life are the toughest to live with because; you only had that one chance to do it.  Frost’s quote has several different interpretations. Take it as you may, but my understanding is that to remain on something that makes me delay my life from continuing on is not worth it.

Mahatma Gandhi said, "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind." This quote describes a characteristic that very few people attain. Not many can turn their backs to their enemies. Revenge is a strong feeling that for most people must be fulfilled. If everybody that was hurt or lied to sought revenge; this world would be filled with a lot more chaos.

Gandhi had a commendable idea on how to maintain peace. He was right, why should we permit ourselves to get caught up into something so insignificant? There is no need for retaliation, because the best revenge is letting that person know you can handle whatever they throw at you.

In previous centuries, “An eye for an eye,” meant that the wrong you did unto someone was to be done back to you. Whether it dealt with inflicting pain on someone or stealing someone’s property, the person was allowed to pursue retribution. Today’s views are quite different though. There are those people that are consumed with vengeance and there are those people who allow the issue to roll off their backs.

The people that are tirelessly looking for revenge not only entail payback but want the person to feel humiliated and even worse than they had felt. Seeking vengeance has been used since Bible times. Several times in the Bible, Jesus will imply that wanting to hurt someone for something they did to you is foolish and any retribution will be done through Him.

Tolerant people do not allow senseless things to set them back. They realize life is short and revenge does not solve any problems but causes even more. Maturity has a major impact on how people accept things in life. They understand what is worth fighting for and what is not.

Life should not be filled with animosity and shame; it should be valued with unforgettable memories. We should not let something so dreadful consume our lives. Life goes on and it depends on how you choose to live it or not.  As people mature in their own way, the lesson of turning the other cheek comes into play.  “But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:39. It may be a challenge to be the bigger person but in the end, the blessings you reap will prove to be worthwhile.
