Everybody wants something and majority of the time
we are willing to do anything to get it. No matter how hard we resist temptation
and lust; it always catches up with us. Our
desires can be stronger than our morals. To gain success, many will fight to achieve
it. However, when we receive what we have been longing for, it can end with disaster
knocking on the door.
What people fought so hard for, can ruin their lives
in just one second. When people dwell on dreams, it is the only the thing they
can consider. Nevertheless, once their
dream comes true, they can deeply regret what was wanted in the first place.
When people always get what they want, they become selfish and continue to only
crave more.
Because we live in a flawed world, it is a part of
maturity to understand that most of our dreams will not come true but will be filed
into the “I wish I chased my dreams” folder. Sometimes when people go after their dreams,
they end up losing someone they love or changing into a completely different
person. Though, when some people chase a dream, it becomes more realistic and
it ends up great.
The dream you always wanted can become the nightmare
you wished you never had. The biggest dreams you had, could become the biggest
mistakes you ever longed for. Thankfully, not all dreams have a booby trap to
them. Some reap enduring presents. It just depends on whether or not you let
the bad experience bring you down.

ReplyDeletedreams aren't always what they seem. sometimes the things people want the most end up destroying their lives or creating a monster within that cannot be tamed. it's always great to get the things you want, but some people would do good to remember that that isn't always going to happen, sometimes they just need to make the most of what they've got and make their current lives their dreams, that way they can say with a full heart that "all their dreams have come true" :D
ReplyDeleteI feel like the phrase 'Be careful what you wish for' really reflects the idea of your quote. Sometimes what we desire in life isn't as great as we might have thought it was. But under certain circumstances,our dreams can take us far, we just have to be weary of how realistic our dreams really are.

ReplyDeleteGrace, I really like your quote.I also enjoyed how you describe how dreams can lead to destruction or fufillment of our dreams; the whole process of dreaming seems like such a beautiful thing but underneath it's really a scary thing, sadly most people don't realize this. This whole buisness of dreams, I believe, reveals how idealistic and realistic a person is.

We are naturally greedy people sometimes so when w e reach a goal its like we want the next biggest and baddest thing when it isn't that serious. i agree with Hellojeyne because the whole be carful what you wish for is more then just saying it really is something to look out for at times lol
ReplyDeleteI love this quote it is very true. We always dream for many things usually wanting more in life. But, we never have to deal with the consequences as if these dreams we're to really occur. If we did we would probably take back the overall dream and go back to our normal lives. Overall this post was great Grace good job :) .

It reminded me of when I'm shopping with my mom and I ask her to buy me something and I have to do something in return just for her to finally say yes. ReplyDeleteI agree that you can't always chase and succeed at your dreams because that might be the worst mistake you can make. People and events always do change others and that's just the way life works. It can suck sometimes, or it can be the best thing ever. Like my situation, my boyfriend has brought out the best me I could be.
